HUNTER, J. The defendant, Edward Lee Underhill, was convicted by a jury of escape while armed with a deadly weapon, a class C felony, Ind. Code § 35-44-3-5 (Burns 1979 Repl.), and of being an habitual offender, Inc. Code § 35-50-2-8 (Burns 1979 Repl.).
